Juniata River trip July 10, 2008 Juniata River "kayaking" It was a beautiful day on the Blue Juniata! Larry and Jim paddled from from Greenwood boat access to Howe Park today. There was a lot of wind damage down by the ledge. I guess they had a small powerful storm. It looked like tornado damage from where I sat. The water level was about 4.0 feet at Newport. The trip took about 3.5 hours. The water temperature was about 25 degrees celsius.
