September 6, 2003.
Phil, Ruth and I went on a kayak trip down the Blue Juniata River in Pennsylvania today. The water was about 6.2 on the Newport gauge. We put in at Howe Park and took out at Ken's Beach. We surfed some at the ledges. They were powerful waves. The front of my big Coupe Del Rio was pulled a foot below the water while surfing one of these. Iroquois Falls at high water!
This trip took about 2.5 hours.
