Susquehanna River trip on September 7, 2003!

We had a nice little trip down the Susquehanna River today.

The Susquehanna River gauge at Harrisburg was about 6.8 feet.
Jim, Phil and Ruth paddled from Duncannon to Fort Hunter.
We Paddled up the Little Juniata Creek a short distance.
We then went down the west side of the river and crossed over
to the east side above the Dauphin Narrows.
There were lots of strong swirling currents in some spots.
I saw some large whirlpools.
This trip was about 4 hours. It took so long because Ruth
decided to stop above Perdix and do some power walking.
