Juniata River trip June 7, 2009

Juniata River "kayaking"

It was a beautiful day on the Blue Juniata! We paddled from Howe Park to Ken's Beach today. The water level was about 4.6 feet at Newport. The trip took about 3.5 hours. The water temperature was about 19 degrees celsius. Sometimes we are lucky enough to have an expert along. We did see a Bald Eagle but he was not close enough for a picture.
