New River trip July 21, 2008

Courthouse Bay "kayaking"

It was a beautiful day on the New River! Elmer Eddy the "White Oak River Trash Man" of the Swansboro Navy escorted us out on the New River where we protected the shores of Camp Lejeune. We only encountered two pirates. We did, however, collect large quantities of contraband. Gail, Elmer, Ed, Jim and Jim paddled the New River today.

Taylor likes this Osprey picture. It can rotate it’s wings to fly like a helicopter.

This pirate was happy we left him something to hang onto.

There were a few of these amphibious vehicles in the bay.
Those jets shoot a long way back to push the heavy craft.
