Susquehanna River Halifax paddle September 23, 2009 Susquehanna River "kayaking" It was a beautiful day on the Susquehanna! The water level was about 3.34 feet at Harrisburg. The water temperature was about 22 degrees celsius. I paddled from the boat access above Halifax up almost to the rock garden below Millersburg. The water was very shallow on the east half of the river and it was slow going. I think I paddled close to 2 miles up. I was on the water for 2.5 hours. It looks like I might be the last of the Duncannon Navy! I guess that will be the death of the Navy when I retire next month.
