We put the Frenzy in the ocean some, but I was not comfortable with that so we mostly paddled in the Intracoastal Waterway. The water was very nice and warm.

We paddled from Riverview to Shallotte today. We had to fight the wind some but we had a good 5-hour trip. We passed River's Edge Golf Plantation. Later as the river got narrow we passed an old boat yard. Docked in front was a shrimp boat that had been modified to be a lighted float. It had a ferris wheel and other amusement items on it. It said Family Kingdom. We continued until we could see the main road through Shallotte at the Texaco station.

We paddled from Maple Creek today. Came across a gator in the middle of the creek shortly after starting. We went on down to Varnumtown and back.
